Module 3 Reflection : Andrew Carnegie's Gospel of Wealth (June 1889

Image
Andrew Carnegie, the American Steel titan, explains his vision for the proper role of wealth in  American society.   The conditions of human life have not only been changed, but revolutionized, within the past few  hundred years. In former days there was little difference between the dwelling, dress, food and  environment. Without wealth there can be no Maecenas. Neither master nor servant was as well situated  then as today. The price which society pays for the law of competition, like the price it pays for cheap  comforts and luxuries , is also great, but the advantages of this law are also greater. The laws of  accumulation should be left free; the laws of distribution free. The best in minds have reached a stage in  the development  of the race in which it is clearly seen that there is no mode of disposing. The American  Dream is basically '' the ideal by which equality of opportunity is available to any American'' which I  don't believe is true. In my opinion

South Carolina and Mississippi passed laws known as Black Codes to regulate black behavior and  impose social and economic control. Mississippi Black code was Immediately passed by southern state  legislatures. Also, outlined legal rights and aimed at creating a subservient labor force. Introduction to a Future Teacher

Hi, my name is Aahmari but I go by Mari. I've lived in Durham NC my whole life. I'm the youngest on my side and the middle child on my father side. I graduated from Riverside High School. I'm majoring in   Early childhood education and teaching. What's cool about my major is I can work with younger kids,  and be creative and reach beyond playground fun and focus on helping young children meet  developmental milestones. Also, understanding diversity and learning to lead to different learning styles  I intend to educate young educators and give them opportunity's to make a difference and also influence  generations. The best class I took last semester was Spanish 1. I felt like I learned more than I did when I  was in High School Spanish 1. We mostly did projects in her class and that's what I liked the most. My  biggest accomplishment last year was to make A's and B's and be focus and turn in my assignments on  time.  My favorite movie is Poetic Justice
